Equipped with everything you need to transform your musical idea from concept to reality, the Alesis V61 MKII features full-sized, velocity-sensitive synth-action keys that have a springy and natural response, eight LED-backlit velocity-sensitive pads for flawless sample or drum performances, four MIDI-assignable rotary encoders to take complete control over your VST parameters or project features, Octave and Transpose controls for access over the full key range as well as pitch-bend and modulation wheels for expressive performances.

To cope with the demands of modern producers, engineers and performers, Alesis V61 MKII has been developed from the ground up to include more features than ever to give you complete control over your performance. Seamless plug-and-play integration with Mac, PC and iOS allows you to expressively control a range of VST instruments with the Alesis V61 MKII. At the same time, the included transport buttons give you complete control over your project within your DAW at your fingertips. Also featuring Octave +/- buttons, you can perform throughout the entire range of keys available in one performance accurately and authentically.
The onboard eight backlit pads respond to your playing expressively, delivering complete control for sample playback or drum samples and VSTs, making it the perfect companion to the live electronic music performer. Additionally, the pads also have "Note Repeat" and "Full Level" functionality to mimic the world's most popular drum machines and sequencers.
Four rotary knob encoders can be assigned via MIDI to any parameter or function within your DAW, giving you the ability to creatively express yourself in real time throughout a performance or set. Map one encoder to a filter cut-off for your VST instrument for attractive tones and sounds within your set and map another to the decay of a reverb plug-in within your DAW to open up expansive and never-ending soundscapes within your performance. Not limited to parameters within plug-ins, you could map the encoders to move the playhead within your project to remove the need for an external mouse!
For complete customisation of your Alesis V61 MKII MIDI Keyboard Controller, you can edit the MIDI messages via the simple point-and-click editor software, allowing you to fine-tune the keys, pad and encoder responses to your personal taste.
